In May 2023, voters approved $9 million to build a new Architect/Engineer Fall 2025
facility for Public Works field operations. The existing Selection Process
facility is 6 modular buildings combined into one in 2007 Council Approval of Fall 2025
to provide temporary size. The facility is undersized for Architect Contract
staff and onsite operations. Also, the exterior includes Design Phase Winter 2025
uncovered materials and waste storage that requires Finalize Construction Winter 2025
significant maintenance to remain in compliance with Documents
state environmental regulations. The goal is to design Permit Phase Spring 2026
and build a 13,000 square foot facility for nearly 75 field Bidding Phase Spring 2026
personnel and another nearly 70,000 square feet to Construction Begins Fall 2026
accommodate employee parking, equipment parking, Construction Complete Spring 2027
covered materials storage, among other additions to
facilitate operations. Additionally, Water Utilities is
assessing the site for needed improvements.
