Replacement Fund Public Works One-Time $247,645
Public Works is requesting to replace the current closed-circuit televising (CCTV) inspection equipment and
software within a fleet vehicle utilized by the Wastewater division. This request is not replacing the vehicle
itself.
The current inspection equipment is approaching 10 years old, which is 3 years over the expected lifecycle.
Camera equipment is necessary to maintain efficient, accurate, and reliable inspection of our sewer
infrastructure. Our current inspection equipment, housed in the existing van unit, is operating on outdated
software that is no longer supported. This has resulted in reduced functionality, an increase in repair costs,
and limitations in data collection and reporting capabilities. As a result, staff are experiencing delays in
inspections, reduced diagnostic accuracy, and inefficiencies in responding to sewer system concerns.
This request is being funded by the committed fund balance for Water & Sewer Equipment.
