Public Works- Fleet Services is requesting supplemental funding to replace an aging fleet service truck with a
more fuel-efficient Ford Maverick equipped with storage system to support mobile maintenance operations.
The current fleet service truck, a 2009 Chevrolet, is past its expected life and has experienced ongoing engine
issues. Replacing it with a smaller, more fuel-efficient Ford Maverick supports the City's right-sizing efforts
while reducing fuel and maintenance costs. Outfitting the vehicle with a storage system will allow technicians
to carry tools and parts securely and efficiently, enabling them to perform smaller repairs in the field. This
improves response times, reduces downtime for City vehicles and equipment, and increases overall
operational efficiency.
