Summary:
The City has set a target of having no more than 15% of Percentage of Fleet Beyond Life
its fleet operating beyond recommended service life at (Goal is 15% or less)
any one time. Vehicles and equipment that are beyond 30%
recommended service life may have more down time
and may have less functionality compared to what is 25%
currently available on the market. After the service life
ends, maintenance and repair are at an extra cost. The 20%
City pays an extra, hourly rate for mechanical failures
and wear and tear which increase with vehicle age. 15%
