This request is to replace the (4) sets of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) batteries for the (4) APC units at City Hall
($80,000). The batteries located inside the (4) three phase UPS's at City Hall over five years old. The warranty has expired for
the batteries and the City is unable to renew the service agreement. Replacement of these batteries on this critical
infrastructure is warranted. Several of the original APC batteries failed, and were replaced under warranty with our service
agreement at no additional cost. The failure of these batteries is due to their age and usage. Each UPS cabinet holds (36)
battery modules. The total number of battery modules to be replaced is (144). In the event of a power outage these batteries
carry the load so critical servers and computer equipment does not shut off. They bridge the power gap until the generator
            synchronizes and transfers power.

Note: Project funding source is Facility Services (505).
