TAX ASSESSING AND COLLECTION SERVICE

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Tax Assessing and Collection Service is to work collaboratively with
external and internal stakeholders to improve the satisfaction of the residents and
businesses of Tarrant County through the effective and efficient provision of services.

Services Provided
• Collection of current and delinquent property taxes on behalf of the City.

FY 2021-2022 Goals and Objectives

1. Provide a cost effective and efficient service to the citizens.
• Contract with Tarrant County for the collection of all property taxes.
• Record and report monthly tax collections to the Business Services Division.

Performance Measures
The Tax Assessing and Collection Service is a contracted service provided to the City. No performance
measures have been included.

Measurable Outcomes:
• Collect 100% of all current and delinquent property taxes.
