partnership with Journey 2 healing hearts has sponsored
the inaugural scholarship.

SROs hosted a Bike Rodeo each month at the East
Arlington Rec Center and Ditto Elementary. Over 40 kids
were taught the importance of proper bicycle safety.
Additional officers and nonsworn staff assisted with
making these events a success.
Students participated in the APD Bike Rodeo held at
Cravens Park over the summer and the Cops4Kids 5k held
in Ft Worth in the Trinity Park area. As the Fall Semester
continues, HRP has begun to use the East Library and Rec
Center for additional workout options for the classes. HRO
is currently working on usage of the pool for a Red Cross
Water Safety Certification for HRP members through this
facility.
