and will be rendered unusable soon. The replacement plan includes

Rescue Tools (sometimes called "Jaws of Life") are used to pry, push, pull

or cut metal for rescuing trapped victims. These tools are most
commonly used for extrications after a vehicle crash. However, rescue UNIT #:
tools are occasionally used for other purposes, such as building collapse

The Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) air compressor is a high FUNDING SOURCE: General Fund
capacity, fixed compressor unit that provides breathing air to firefighters
by filling the individual SCBA cylinders worn into structure fires. The UNIT #:
expected life span of this unit is 20 years. The current compressor is over
30 years old. AGE (YEARS): 32

This request is for new field monitoring units (FMU) for the traffic signal
FUNDING SOURCE: SIEDC
boxes. The FMUs will replace the current system that utilizes the radio
system for traffic synchronization that was installed in 2011. The system UNIT #:
functioned without incident for approximately six years, but the radio AGE (YEARS):
system equipment installed on the water towers and at the Service
Center is now outdated and is no longer functioning as designed. This 2-YR MAINTENANCE COST: $
equipment will allow traffic signals to connect using cellular signal.
