BUDGET OVERVIEW

 The standard green ball indication for a permissive left turn is being replaced with the
safer flashing yellow arrow (FYA) indication at some of our traffic signals where allowed
by the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Studies have shown the FYA signals
are safer and more easily understood by drivers than the traditional yield on green
signals.

 Roadway striping improvements along major roadways were completed during the
overnight hours to prevent major delays for residents while the work was ongoing.
Additionally, there is less traffic during the evening hours, so city crews were able to be
more productive allowing them to finish the projects in about half the time.
