BUDGET OVERVIEW



                  Neighborhood Services coordinated a tree trimming service for residents who meet the
                    eligibility criteria.  This service provides trimming of trees that are hanging low over the
                    right of way or sidewalk. Keep NRH Beautiful donation funds in the amount of $5,000
                    are being used to fund this program.

                  Last year, six residents took advantage of the Home Improvement Rebate program to
                    make exterior repairs to their homes.  To date, in FY 2017/2018 seven residents have
                    received rebates totaling $13,499.

                  The Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) continues to be a great success in the
                    first  target  area;  which  encompasses  the  area  south  of  NE  Loop  820,  East  of  Rufe
                    Snow and North of Glenview. Twenty participants have gone through the program, and
                    the projects completed have increased value in the area by $1,887,152. The average
                    purchase price of a pre-renovated home in the program is $103,137, and the ending
                    sales price is almost double that at $200,090. To date, the city has paid $200,000 to
                    those who have successfully completed the requirements of the program.
