        OVERVIEW


             The Human Resources Department ensures effective selection, development and retention

             of the city's workforce through:  communication and employee relations, compliance with
             federal and state employment guidelines, employee counseling, organizational development,

             policy and procedure development, property and liability claims management, recognition
             and incentive programs, recruitment, safety and loss-control, programs, salary and benefit

             administration, testing and selection, training programs, and worker’s compensation.
