6" ‐ 15" Sewer Lines Cleaned
The City of Arlington Water Utilities entered into the (Linear Feet vs. Total Footage)
Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Voluntary Initiative

established by the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in 2005. In order to 25%
participate, the City of Arlington agreed to evaluate its
sanitary sewer system and develop an action plan that 20%

AWU cleaned approximately 6.2 % of the 6‐15” sewer Footage

lines during the 4 quarter of the fiscal year. This
equates to 22.51% for the fiscal year. In addition,
Arlington Water Utilities has initiated in‐house cleaning
of lines larger than 15”, through the procurement of a
vehicle designed to clean these larger lines. Sanitary
sewer lines larger than 15” make up 6.2% of the total
sanitary sewer lines within the City of Arlington.
