$2,500,000 –Library Modification/Expansion
The Mansfield Public Library moved to its current location in 2001 and serves an estimated 139,000
visitors annually. The building is 17,000 square feet. Funding was approved by City Council to add 4,000
square feet to create an enclosed children’s area with programming space and a family restroom, as well
as new computers and an upgraded inventory system. Prior year funding has been approved to begin
design and construction in FY 2020-2021.
$1,708,875 –Police Patrol Renovation
The city will begin renovation of the facility that was formerly the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) at
1601 Heritage Parkway. The funding for this project was previously budgeted in FY 2019-2020 as a
design project for a new Police Headquarters but was repurposed for a complete renovation of the LEC to
accommodate a City Jail and Patrol offices.
