COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Department at a Glance

The Community Resource Department includes five Community Resource Officers. The Community
Resource Department budget decreased 1.4% in FY 2019-2020.

Key Goals and Objectives

Goal 1
Expand Social Media Platform Accountability.

Objectives:
• All CRO officers trained on the use of every social media platform used by the Department.
• Daily review and response to social media needs.

Goal 2
Increase participation in Crime Free Multi-Housing.

Objectives:
• Increase Phase I participation by our apartment complexes by physically contacting every non-
participating complex.
• Phase 2 (CPTED) participation by 25% of participating complexes.

Goal 3
Continue implementation of the Crime Free Lifestyles (CFL) Program.

Objectives:
• Conduct one CFL Safety Fair for general public; invite vendors and have speakers and displays
promoting crime watch, block events, etc.
• Create pamphlet outlining availability to conduct safety surveys for places of worship.

Performance Objectives
• Training of each individual in the department on every social media platform operated by the
agency.
• Increase participation in Crime Free Multi-Housing.
• Expand the Crime Free Lifestyles Program.
