           Project Name Project Description
Adventure World This project will provide for a major renovation of Adventure World Playground. Drainage improvements are being planned
Playground Renovation - in and around the playground in addition to the complete replacement of the largest play area and associated accessible
Continuing Project play components. The remainder of the small play areas will be carefully evaluated to determine their usability and to
formulate a plan for renovation or removal and replacement. The restroom building will be assessed for any improvements
                            necessary to maintain ADA compliance.

Annual Tree Planting This project provides for the introduction of trees into the urban forest and replacement of trees that have died at various
2019 - New Project locations throughout the City. The project involves the installation of 3" caliper, drought tolerant, native or adapted trees.
Park facilities to receive trees includes Northfield Park and various other locations.

Barfield Family A privately funded grant program will provide funding opportunities for various enhancements along the Little Bear Creek
Foundation Grant Corridor. Possibilities for enhancements include educational signage for native plants and animals and environmental
Program - Continuing features along the corridor, cultivation of an extensive wildflower program with specific viewing areas and opportunities for
Project bird blinds and boardwalks in the Northfield Park natural area. If additional funding is granted in subsequent years, similar
type enhancement projects will be explored and implemented.

Barfield/Cotton Belt Trail This project provides for the design and construction of a pedestrian connection between the Cotton Belt Trail and the new
Connector - Continuing John Barfield Trail immediately west of Precinct Line Road and south of the Tarrant County Maintenance Facility. The
Project Cotton Belt Trail intersects Precinct Line Road south of the Cotton Belt Railroad and the new John Barfield Trail will dead
end at Precinct Line Road north of the Cotton Belt Railroad. The connector that will link the two trails will be designed to be
between 5’ and 10’ wide depending on existing site conditions and their opportunities or constraints. The trail connection is
expected to be approximately 185’ long and will cross the Cotton Belt Railroad within the TxDOT right of way using concrete
crossing panels that would be approved by DART and the Fort Worth and Western Railroad. This crossing is contingent
upon final approval by DART, TxDOT, and Fort Worth and Western and must be coordinated with the new Tex-Rail project.

Green Valley Raceway This project provides for the design and construction of an historical plaza adjacent to North Tarrant Parkway, east of
Historical Area - Smithfield Road where the John Barfield Trail meanders through what once was the Green Valley Raceway. Proposed
Continuing Project amenities include an attractive pedestrian and bicycle plaza with benches, trash receptacles and signage with information
and photographs that celebrate the rich history of a bygone era in North Richland Hills.
