community. The impact of crime on an individual victim,
their loved ones, and their community depends on a variety 80

Department investigators work quickly to expedite the most -
serious of cases and those with high-risk indicators. While

investigators work the criminal aspect of the case, the Victim
Services Unit provides resources to victims and family
members with the goal of lessening the short and long-term Crime Victims Served
trauma experienced as a direct result of the victimization.
Victim Services provides crisis intervention and counseling, 3,500 3235
criminal justice support and advocacy, information and 3116 3213
referral, notification of rights and transportation to shelters 3,000
to all victims of violent crime reported to the Arlington Police 2723
Department. Victim Services counselors are on duty 7 days a
week to respond to requests for immediate crisis 2,500
intervention for victims of domestic violence and other
traumatic crimes.

Project RAISE (Risk, Assessment, Intervention, Safety, and 1st Qtr 2nd Qtr 3rd Qtr 4th Qtr
Engagement) consists of a victim centered Multi-Disciplinary
Team of social service, community, and criminal justice
agencies partnering together to address the issues that high- Victims Served
risk family violence victims face. Project RAISE offers a
professional support system to help develop a safe and Domestic Violence
healthy climate for the victim. Project RAISE focuses on the 432
intervention of the high- risk intimate partner violence (IPV) Robbery
