Summary:

Percentage of Fleet Beyond Life
The City has set a target of having no more than 15% of
(Goal is 15% or less)
its fleet operating beyond recommended service life at
any one time. Vehicles and equipment that are beyond 30%
recommended service life may have more down time
and may have less functionality compared to what is 25%
currently available on the market. After the service life
ends, maintenance and repair are at an extra cost. The

and wear and tear which increase with vehicle age.

Quarter FY 2025. Eighteen (18) City fleet units ordered in
FY 2024 are still undelivered. Two (2) heavy equipment
units ordered in FY 2023 are scheduled for delivery in
February 2025. Accounting for all vehicles ordered but
undelivered, the percentage of fleet beyond life is 19%.
