             Summary:

The Library is in the implementation phase of a Homebound Participants
program to provide services to homebound patrons 200
who cannot visit the library in person due to
transportation issues, including health issues impairing
mobility. Though the Arlington Public Library offers a 150
variety of online resources for the community, including
e‐content, not all residents have the technology or the 100
knowledge to access these resources. Recent studies on
cognitive health suggest that keeping the mind active
and connecting socially helps with daily living for 50
             seniors and other homebound residents.
                                                                  ‐

will expand homebound service to all locations,
delivering books and other library materials to
residents’ homes, pick up items to return, and providing

evidence and survey responses, to determine how best 600

Promotional efforts continued throughout the fourth 300
             quarter with grant‐funded contactors' outreach,
canvassing, and tabling activities. 41 residents applied 200
to participate this quarter, bringing the total number of 100
participants to 81. The Library and its volunteers made ‐
55 deliveries of 610 items for the Books on Wheels
patrons to enjoy during the 4th Quarter. During FY 1st Qtr 2nd Qtr 3rd Qtr 4th Qtr
2024, 1,112 items were circulated to Homebound
