BUDGET OVERVIEW





            COUNCIL GOAL 5:


            POSITIVE CITY IMAGE




            Strive to maintain a positive City image and
            reputation for being a great community.






            Objectives:

               •  Continue and enhance communication flow with citizens

               •  Focus on and recognize city successes

               •  Promote and initiate environmentally responsible programs

               •  Increase regional branding and marketing activities that promote our positive city image

               •  Expand efforts to provide a welcoming experience and connect new and existing residents
                  to the NRH values.

            Accomplishments:


               •  In Fall 2019 the Communications Department launched a new  Explore NRH billboard
                  campaign to draw attention to interesting destinations and unique experiences in our
                  community. The campaign utilizes Clear Channel’s digital highway billboards to highlight
                  the city’s public art program, trails, parks, recreation facilities and other unique and exciting
                  places around North Richland Hills. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about
                  North Richland Hills and motivate motorists to stop and enjoy our community. The billboard
                  ad space, which is provided to the city at no cost, reaches more than 300,000 travelers
                  each week on Loop 820 and more than 250,000 travelers each week on Precinct Line
                  Road. While the campaign was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, we anticipate
                  it will resume in the future.

               •  A majority of residents are pleased with the appearance of the city. In the 2019 Citizen
                  Survey, 78% rated the overall appearance of the city as excellent or good.
