Goal 4:
Provide an engaging and effective mosquito control program.

Objectives:
• Follow industry standard recommendations for trapping locations/types, treatment of suspected
resting/breeding sites identified, and any adulticide activities.
• Continue training for the Environmental Health Specialist and expand surveillance program to
better reflect growth of population.
• Update Mosquito Surveillance and Control Policy as needed to reflect current mosquito borne
illness environment and maintain consistency with Tarrant County Public Health’s policies.

Performance Objectives
• Use Best Management Practices implementation timeline as a framework to evaluate Storm
Water Management Program compliance. Incorporate into the Annual Report and present to City
Council.
• Track number of capital projects started/completed/in progress. Track the number of
maintenance work orders completed and continue to use in-house staff more.
• Track number of mosquito traps collected for surveillance program. Track number of posts,
publications, and events performed by staff related to mosquito public education. Track number
of areas treated. Update policy as required.
