Goal 4
Provide a reliable and consistent service that exceeds the expectation of our residents and customers.
Objectives:
• Evaluate and edit meter readings as they are completed to ensure billing accuracy.
• Ensure all customers’ calls for service through all service methods are responded to and
addressed in a positive and timely manner.
• Evaluate and develop a customer experience survey to measure service quality and adjust
procedures as needed to meet service needs.
Goal 5
Utilize and maintain meter infrastructure to capture on time and accurate meter readings.
Objectives:
• Identify and replace aging 3G meters with Allegro (AMI) meters.
• Monitor and identify weak spots in radio frequencies to install AMI infrastructure as needed.
• Utilize in house meter testing to ensure meter accuracy.
Goal 6
Build a geographic data framework for use in creating and maintaining accurate maps used to
provide geographic data and analysis effectively and in a timely manner.
Objectives:
• Provide city staff and customers the appropriate geographic data, and tools for retrieval
and analysis of such data.
• Increase availability of data to staff and customers via desktop and web applications.
• Encourage data sharing partnerships to facilitate the city’s involvement in economic
development, public safety, land use and infrastructure initiatives.
Goal 7
Assist GIS Technician in advancing knowledge in applications of GIS, as well as train GIS
Technician and other city staff in the use of GPS via mobile devices and dedicated GPS units.
Objectives:
• Improve GIS Technician’s knowledge in providing GIS products to staff and customers.
• Enable GIS Technician and other city staff to perform data collection via mobile devices,
as well as via use of dedicated GPS unit, as required.
Goal 8
Develop and maintain online site(s) for map and data distribution.
Objectives:
• Develop web-based datasets, maps and applications.
• Coordinate with IT Department on best practices for data storage and distribution.
Measurable Outcomes:
• 100% billing accuracy.
• Replace 5% of 3G meters reaching the end of their warranty period.
• Web maps and applications for access to geographic data and analysis by staff and public.
