TECHNOLOGY FUND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology will continue to work on protecting the City infrastructure from
Cyber –Security Threats by:
o Continued utilization of Anti-virus software
o Investigate new methods of threat detection
o Continue to provide City staff with materials that make them aware of threats
o Working to create a structured awareness training program for staff
o Mobile Device Management
Staff will work with departments to update the Information Technology 5-year plan. With
focus areas being Mobility, Collaboration, Customer Service and Security.
Information Technology will start work on replacement of outdated Building Access System.
Information Technology will work on finding a new solution to provide remote
access to the workforce in the field.

Goals:
• Provide state of the art infrastructure to facilitate internal and external connectivity.
• Implement methods to disseminate information to the City Council and the public in an
efficient, effective, and user-friendly manner.
• Periodically report on how technology is improving efficiency and effectiveness throughout
City operations.
• Utilize a strategic plan to enhance employee productivity.
Objectives:
• Develop formal policy on Cyber Security and related city activity.
