Revenue Description: Court fines are generated from tickets that are written for
violations of ordinances. These tickets are typically written by the Police Department,
but to a lesser extent can also be written by Animal Control, Code Enforcement and the
Fire Department.

Revenue Projection: Over the past year and half, we experienced a significant decline
in tickets written and associated revenue received. However, that appears to be going
back up, and we are increasing the budgeted amount to $225,000 next year (up from
$200,000 this year). This is in part due to getting more officers out of training and into
patrol.
