Following the implementation of the Boarding Facility City
Ordinance, BHLEU has assisted health services with
locating and visiting suspect boarding homes in Arlington. HEART
Information was provided on how to obtain a permit. 250
Secondary to these visits, BHELU discovered offenses and
have generated reports. To date, 103 homes have been 200

The unit will begin a collaborative multi-departmental
meeting to ensure the proper enforcement of the city 50
ordinance. This meeting will include legal, health services, -

BHLEU conducted a 1‐hour training for supervisors
regarding the city ordinance and is developing training for Contacts Camps DRC
a 2 hour in service block.
BHLEU developed and provided an 8‐hour CIT refresher for
officers who do not have their intermediate license. This
training is on‐going with another scheduled in July.
BHLEU hosted and provided training for BHRO and Peer
Support quarterly meetings. BHLEU will host another BHRO
quarterly in August.
HEART and code met with Grand Prairie regarding a camp
location that intersects both cities. The solution to this
issue was code stating they would work collaboratively
with APD and GPPD to ensure they are aware of when the
abatement will be served. This abatement will likely occur
sometime before October.
BHLEU produced 2 Behavioral Health Update Cards (BUC)
on individuals that posed a threat to the community. One
of which related he was a “ticking time bomb that could
become a violent and deadly attack on the person or
situation that pushes me to that point”. The threat
assessment process led to collaboration with their family,
another law enforcement agency, and the FBI.
