PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The City of Azle Street Department is responsible for the maintenance of street repairs, maintenance and
installation of traffic signs and barricades, repair and replacement of curbs and gutters, installation and repairs of
storm sewers and drains.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
To reduce the time with complaints and work orders.
Reclaim/overlay collector or arterial streets.
Improve the city's drainage channels.
KEY POINTS OF PROPOSED BUDGET:
Personnel Services: Increase due to impact of FY 23 step increases and increased benefits costs.
Maintenance: Increase for additional equipment maintenance.
Capital Outaly: Increase for the purchase of a shoulder widener machine with the cost to be split with the
Stormwater Department budget, the construction of a materials bin cover, and solar-powered traffic signs.
