Summary
Your city leadership team stands ready to execute the 2022- 2023 budget and to institute the
necessary fiscal controls to ensure effective fiduciary management and increase reserves when
possible. We were able to drop the tax rate to a twenty year low. As a point of reference, the
2002-2003 budget tax rate was .7125. We are proposing the FY2022-2023 rate of .70619.
Compared to FY2022-2023, we are also operating with ten fewer city employees than in 2012-
2013.
We will continue to innovate while maintaining our focus on improving our performance to
improve the quality of life for all citizens. I appreciate the dedication of our employees and
department leaders who are working hard to share your vision for our city. On behalf of all of
our employees, we look forward to working with you through the coming year. I thank you for
your trust and I will continue to serve you with integrity and purpose. Together, we will move
forward and achieve the goal of making our city a truly wonderful place to live and prosper.
Respectfully Submitted,
Darrell Hull
City Manager
