Expenditures by Fund
Because the Colleyville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) was formed in part to support parks and recreation, a
large portion of the department is funded through that additional half-cent sales tax. The CEDC supports three parks
positions annually, two of which are new as of FY23: a Recreation Specialist, the new Landscape Beauti cation Technician,
and one new Parks Maintenance Technician. Additionally, many parks capital projects are funded out of the CEDC,
including:
Annual sidewalk/trail construction,
Parks restroom facility renovations,
Senior Center renovations,
Kimzee and Woodbriar Park improvements,
Landscaping,
City Park improvements,
Parks security cameras, and
Heroes park design and renovations
The remainder of Parks' operations (approxiamtely 55% of the department and most of the personnel) is funded through the
General Fund.
