Parks and Recreation serve the cultural, educational, and recreational needs of the community by managing and maintaining the
City’s parks, recreation and open spaces. The Parks Department consistently and strategically evaluates the services and amenities
that it provides in an effort to stay relevant to the citizens of Colleyville. Department staff take special care to provide unique and
highly aesthetic places for Colleyville’s park patrons to get connected and experience community in the outdoors. Department
efforts are focused primarily in the areas of park and athletic eld maintenance, but Parks staff also perform a myriad of other
services throughout the City that serve to protect public assets, beautify public spaces, and meet the needs and desires of our
citizens.
The Recreation Department consistently strives to improve the quality of life in the City of Colleyville. Recreation provides a variety
of diverse programs for all ages, from preschoolers to seniors. The department manages park pavilion and athletic eld rentals of
park facilities throughout the City. In addition, the department promotes a sense of community and civic pride to residents
through the coordination of special events throughout the year.
The mission of Parks & Recreation is:
To build community and enrich lives through the provision of recreational, educational, and cultural opportunities that encourage
residents to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and have fun.
