FY2020-2021 GOALS/ OBJECTIVES:

x Conduct General Election postponed from May 2020 to November 2020
x Conduct Special Election for reauthorization of sales tax for purpose of Crime Control in
November 2020
x Conduct Special Election for reauthorization of sales tax for purpose of Street Maintenance as
postponed to November 2020
x Continue digitization of City records through the implementation of Tyler Content Manager
x Process requests for public information in accordance with State law
x Maintain and update the Code of Ordinances as needed
x Monitor the status of retention schedules as set by the Texas Library Archives Commission
x Continue with developing Standard Operating Procedures for City Secretary functions
x Continue cross-training staff in the department
x Complete the Texas Municipal Clerk Certification Program

MAJOR BUDGETARY ISSUES AND OPERATIONAL TRENDS:

Code of Ordinance updates and supplements continue on a semi-annual basis as a result of the
Ordinance Revision Schedule approved by City Council in March 2020
