               MISSION STATEMENT


               The mission of Administration is to build and maintain, through strategic leadership and
               support, a city government that provides responsive services and effective programs.



               DIVISION DESCRIPTION


               The Administration Department consists of all functions of the City Manager’s Office.  The City
               Manager, appointed by the City Council, is the chief administrative officer of the City of Hurst.
               The primary responsibilities of the  City Manager’s Office include providing for  the effective
               implementation of the City Council’s policies and priorities, coordinating the activities of all city
               departments, informing and engaging Hurst citizens, and ensuring responsible organizational and
               fiscal management.




               PRIOR YEAR RESULTS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

                    Continued to effectively implement City Council policies and programs.
                    Updating Strategic Plan and sharing this vision with the public through events and
                       communications.
                    Continued to improve methods of communications with City Council, the community, and
                       within the organization in particular through Where We Live Magazine and annual
                       budget video.
                    Managed the difficult operational and budget impacts of COVID-19.




               FUTURE INITIATIVES

                    Implementation of plans to address Strategic Priorities.
                    Focus on financial sustainability and continuing to manage the impacts of COVID-19.
