                                                    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

     The mission of the Inspections Division is to oversee plan review and permit issuance to ensure that proposed construction work meets
     safety requirements of the Code; that the process is performed in the highest professional standards to fulfill the needs of the
     community; and to provide exceptional personalized service by providing timely, efficient and thorough building inspections.

     The Inspection Division provides permit and inspection services for citizens, property owners, businesses, contractors, and authorized
     agents. Permit and inspection services are provided for applicants that intend to make improvements to or change the occupancy of a
     building or structure.






                                                   FY 2019-2020 HIGHLIGHTS

        ∗ Received approximately $1,085,598 in permit and inspection fees FY 19-20.
        ∗ Issued 2,585 building and trade permits for FY 19-20.
        ∗ Performed 70 Multi-Family property maintenance inspections for FY 19-20.
        ∗ Performed 3,914 building inspections for FY 19-20.
        ∗ Performed 1,031 plan reviews for FY 19-20.
        ∗ Issued 84 Certificate of Occupancy permits for new businesses to the City.
