This project is for the replacement of the two main filters that are responsible for filtering the water in the Endless River, Wave
Pool, Stream and both slide tower complexes located by the Endless River. The current filters were installed when the park
opened in 1995. There are two filters and each filter is a Whitten high rate sand filter model #2U-6C-108"H. Each filter is 12' 6"
high, 9' wide, and each holds 35 tons of sand as its filter media. This replacement is necessary due age of the filters.

The new style of filters will offer cost savings through improved efficiency on electrical and water usage while also improving
filtration capabilities and allowing us to discontinue use of chemical additives we currently use with the high rate sand filters to
increase their efficiency. It will also allow for labor savings in the general operation of the filters.
