Department at a Glance
The Medical Services Department’s budget increased 70.08% due to two (2) new nursing positions and
increases in contract services and medical supply costs.
Key Goals and Objectives
Goal 1:
Enhance medical records and documentation standards.
Objectives:
• Conduct monthly audits of medical files to assure adherence to procedures.
• Conduct quarterly reviews with medical staff regarding documentation procedures.
Goal 2:
Evaluate medical equipment to increase service effectiveness.
Objectives:
• Evaluate, inspect and review all equipment for effectiveness.
• Develop a replacement schedule for all medical equipment.
Goal 3:
Enhance medical service standards through protocol and procedure review.
Objectives:
• Quarterly protocol review and sign-off by all nursing staff.
• Quarterly training and testing of all nursing staff on medical procedures.
Performance Objectives
• Enhance medical records and documentation standards.
