ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

               Department at a Glance

               The LEC Administration Department  includes an Assistant Chief of Police and a secretary.  The
               Administration budget increased 2.67% overall due to a merit increase.

               Key Goals and Objectives

               Goal 1:
               Complete Federal Performance Based Detention Standards (FPBDS) compliance certification.

               Objectives:
                   •  Receive onsite compliance inspection within the first quarter of the fiscal year.
                   •  Receive awarded certification.

               Goal 2:
               Enhance budget efficiency.

               Objectives:
                   •  Cross check to ensure accurate line item coding.
                   •  Weekly staff review of line item coding and immediate corrections made accordingly.

               Goal 3:
               Complete facility review of  all  required  standards for upcoming Texas Best Practices  (TBP)
               recertification.

               Objectives:
                   •  Review all operational general orders and standard operating procedures for TBP compliance.
                   •  Ensure all staff is thoroughly prepared and informed regarding what is required of them for TBP
                       recertification.

               Performance Objectives
                   •  Complete FPBDS compliance certification.
                   •  Budget efficiency.
                   •  Complete facility review of all required standards for upcoming TBP recertification.
