GENERAL FUND COMMUNITY SERVICES MAINTENACE
MISSION STATEMENT
Facility Services will provide responsive and seamless maintenance services to keep facilities
safe and attractive to use for all City employees and citizens alike. Facility Services will at all times
emphasize quality and efficiency to ensure that an aging infrastructure is maintained.
Project Management will provide construction administrative services to build attractive public
facilities for surrounding neighborhood and commercial revitalization.
DIVISION DESCRIPTION
The mission of the Facility Services Division is to seamlessly maintain the City’s facilities while
providing an aesthetically pleasing and safe work environment for City employees. Facility
Services is primarily responsible for managing, planning, coordinating, and directing the
maintenance and building improvements for each of the City’s 25 facilities. Staff also coordinates
annual elevator inspections, AED inspections, window cleaning, pest control, carpet and furniture
cleaning, AC filter and duct cleaning, boiler inspections, fire alarm systems inspections, fire
extinguisher inspections, fire sprinkler system inspections, and a host of other professionally
contracted services as needed throughout the year.
The mission of Project Management is to protect the City’s interests throughout all phases of
contracted construction and maintenance services.
PRIOR YEAR RESULTS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Installation of one new roof top AC unit at the Recreation Center
LED Conversion of Recreation Center Racquetball Courts.
LED lighting panel installation in the Library circulation area.
LED lighting retrofits and conversions at various locations as needed thru attrition.
Installation of AC catch pans for three Recreation Center RTUs, Basketball Gym.
Fire 3 bay exhaust fan installation, and installation of new extractor.
Heat Exchanger installation at Fire 2, RTU.
Coordinate all daily work orders and contracted services to keep facilities in good repair.
Coordinate all necessary Fire System and Alarm System inspections.
