Communications
Systems increased
to reflect a grant
awarded in
November 2019. An
increase in the
Other line item is
requested to cover
the purchase of new
stretchers with
power load systems
for all three
ambulances and
four new cardiac
monitors. The old
stretchers were over
10 years old and the
cost of the service
agreement with the
vendor was set to
more than double
because of their age.
The vendor agreed
to give the City
$9,000 in trade-in
value toward the
new stretchers. The
cardiac monitors are
at end of life and
will no longer be
serviced by the
manufacturer after
December 2020.
