Goals for Parks

 Create a hazard free and ADA compliant environment for children and families to enjoy
the outdoors.
o Get the Parks annually inspected.
o Correct any play surface safety issues.
 Add EWF for appropriate depth
 Ensure the play areas are sufficient
 Remove tripping hazards
o Remove other hazards
 Merry‐go‐round
 Change Swing bays
 Correct swing hangers, chains and distance issues
o Add safety items
 Add and replace hardware
 Price and plan for playground deck replacement
 Spring rider handle shrouds
 Bubble window missing
o Improve ADA compliance
 Add ramp to CR swing set
 Discuss options for access to RB elements

 Improve the greenscape at all parks, city entrances, ROWs, and medians.
o Pruning schedule

o Increase frequency staff inspection and drive by’s

 Increase frequency of staff oversight at city parks.
