Short-Term Goals

• Continue to be community focused with a high priority on patron service.

• Establish and implement a technology improvement plan to keep patron

and staff computers up to date.
• Continue to grow program attendance and circulation.

• Continue collaboration with Birdville ISD.

• Continue monthly outreach to Little Tykes.

• Attend the Texas Library Association Annual Conference to stay abreast

of best practices in library service.
• Transition Part-time Library Administrative Assistant position into
full-time Administrative Assistant/Technical Services Coordinator.

Long Term Goals

• Coordinate with Hurst or Haltom City Public Libraries for support staff

training.
• Complete restroom, program room and window renovations to insure

ADA compliance and save energy.
• Complete HVAC, parking lot and roof renovations and create a plan for

future maintenance.
• Create a City Social Media and Communications Team.

• Add a full-time Youth Services Librarian and pursue “Family Place”
National Certification.
