FIRE GRANT FUND
The Fire Grant Fund revenue is derived from the City’s participation in the State
Emergency Management Reimbursement Program. This fund is utilized to record and
account for any grants awarded to our Fire and EMS operations. The fund is used for
special projects such as the free smoke detector and battery replacement for citizens,
as well as the latest technologies to help protect and serve the citizens of Hurst. This
is a distinct source of funding for the Fire Department outside the general operating
budget of the City.
