MUNICIPAL COURT
Mission Statement
The Municipal Court is the Judicial Branch of City government. The court is organized into the
Judiciary and Court Administration. The mission of the Judiciary is to provide fair and impartial
justice to the citizens of Haltom City. The mission of the Court Administration is to support the
Judiciary by assisting the public with competence and patience as well as by managing court
operations with skill and economy. The Marshal’s Office is under Court Administration charged
with the execution and clearance of arrest warrants as well as serving court documents. The
Marshal’s Office also provides security for the court and court staff.
Accomplishments for FY2018
✓ Finished scanning all the old files and are now completely “paperless/paper light”.
✓ Implemented all legislative updates.
✓ Created paperless/paper light environment and most documents are available
electronically.
✓ Improved and reduced citation processing and revenue collection time by attaching
prosecutor’s offer when attorney dockets are sent. We are now receiving some payments
up to two months earlier.
Objectives for FY 2019
➢ Set up individual register and login for each clerk.
➢ Continue to reduce the number of outstanding warrants.
➢ Create policies and procedures manual for the Municipal Court.
➢ Finalize policies and procedures manual for the Haltom City Marshal’s Office.
