None of this happens on its own. Southlake’s financial strength is the product of consistent direction
from the Mayor and City Council and the daily commitment of employees who hold themselves to a
higher standard. I am grateful to the Council for the guidance offered through strategic workshops
and budget work sessions, and to every member of our team whose work is reflected in these pages.
Together, we enter the coming year on a foundation as sound as any in the City’s history, and well
prepared for what it will ask of us.
