Shared Services-Budget & Purchasing
The Budget & Purchasing Office manages the City’s financial planning and procurement activities to
ensure that public resources are allocated efficiently and in alignment with organizational priorities. The
office develops and administers the annual operating and capital budgets, provides financial analysis
and forecasting, and monitors expenditures throughout the year to support informed decision-making
and long-term fiscal sustainability.
In addition, this division oversees the competitive purchasing process, including bids, contracts, and
vendor compliance, to ensure that goods and services are acquired responsibly and in accordance with
state law and city policy. Through these functions, the Budget & Purchasing Office strengthens financial
accountability, supports strategic initiatives, and safeguards the responsible use of public funds.
