WHEREAS, such public hearing was held on September 2, 2025, prior approval
of uch date being hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Council, and all those wishing
s
to speak on the Budget were heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied the Budget and listened to the comments
t
of he taxpayers at the public hearing held and has determined that it should amend the
Budget to include, among other things, additional expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that adopting the Adopted Budget
t
i
( defined below) is in the best nterest of he City and its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BURLESON, TEXAS:
Section 1
t
That all of he above premises are found to be rue and correct and are incorporated into
t
the body of his Ordinance as if opied in their entirety.

Section 2
That the annual budget attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes is adopted
for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026 (the
"Adopted Budget"); and there is hereby appropriated from the funds indicated such
projects, operations, activities, purchases and other expenditures as proposed in the
Adopted Budget.
Section 3
That, in accordance with state law, the City Manager shall file or cause o be filed a true and

correct copy of he approved Adopted Budget, along with this ordinance, with the City
t
Secretary and in the office of he County Clerks of Johnson and Tarrant County, Texas,
t
t
and post a copy of he Budget on the City's Internet website. The Adopted Budget shall
contain a cover page with the information required by Local Government Code §
102.007(d). Additionally, the City Manager shall include as appendices to the Adopted
Budget copies of he following: (i) the tax rate calculation forms used to calculate the City's
t
no-new-revenue tax rate and the voter-approval tax rate for tax year 2025, (ii) the Adopted
Budget appropriation ordinance, and (iii) the tax levying ordinance.
Section 4

That the distribution and division of he above-named appropriations is made at the fund
level in the general fund and the water and sewer fund for the payment of operating
i
expenses and capital outlay as set out n the municipal budget.
Section 5
That at any time during the fiscal year, the City Manager may transfer part or all of any
unencumbered appropriation balance among or between accounts within a fund. The City
