AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURLESON, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
2025, AND TERMINATING SEPTEMBER 30, 2026, AND MAKING
APPROPRIATIONS FOR EACH FUND; FINDING THE RECITALS
ARE TRUE AND CORRECT; INSTRUCTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO FILE THE BUDGET WITH THE COUNTY CLERK,
POST TO THE CITY WEBSITE, AND ADD CERTAIN FORMS AS
AN APPENDIX TO THE BUDGET; REPEALING CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FINDING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE IS PASSED IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.

WHEREAS, the City Manager of he City of Burleson, Texas (hereinafter referred
to as the "City") has caused to be filed with the City Secretary a budget to cover all

proposed expenditures of he government of he City for the fiscal year beginning October
I, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026, (hereinafter referred to as the "Budget"); and

WHEREAS, public notice of he public hearing on the Budget, stating the date,
s
time, place and subject matter of aid public hearing, was given as required by the City
Charter and the laws of he State of Texas; and
t
WHEREAS, the notice of a public hearing on the Budget was published on

August 20, 2025, n the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, which wasnotearlierthanthe30th,or
t
t
later han he I oth day before the date of he said public hearing; and
t
WHEREAS, an additional notice of the public hearing on the Budget was
published in theCleburne Times-Review; and

WHEREAS, other legal notices of he Budget and said public hearing were given
in accordance with all applicable law; and

WHEREAS, the Burleson 4A Economic Development Corporation adopted the
corporation's FY2025-2026 annual budget on August 18, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the City Council ratified the budget of he Burleson 4A Economic
Development Corporation on September 2, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Burleson Community Services Development Corporation
adopted the corporation's FY2025-2026 annual budget on August 15, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the City Council ratified the budget of he Burleson Community

Services Development Corporation on September 2, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number Two, City of
Burleson, Texas adopted the board's FY2024-2025 annual budget on August 18, 2025, by
resolution; and
