Replaced all overhead doors at the Public Works building.
Replaced all ceiling tiles in City Hall Building A.
Added an awning at the main entrance of the Library.
Added a wall inside the Library to separate the children's area from the main library.
Installed a new re panel in Fire Station #3.

Goals

Parks:
Revitalization
Upgrading Park lighting, construction of new shade structures at Generation Park, Stormie Jones Park and Harris Ryals
Park.
Construction of a new pickle ball and tennis court complex with bathroom facilities. Funded by a matching grant thru
Texas Park and Wildlife Department.
Economic Vitality
Continue to make improvements to all parks with the installation of lighting, turf management and aditonal park
amenities. Bringing people and families to Bedford.
Organizational Excellence
Continued drive for ef ciency and excellence within the Parks Division.

Recreation / Seniors / Cultural Arts:
Economic Vitality
Continue to provide low cost, community-engaging special events throughout the year.
Maintain the management and sport speci c agreements that bring an anticipated 120k of revenue annually.
Transformation
Challenging staff to develop new programming that furthers the Mission and Vision of the Department.
Organizational Excellence
Invest in staff training to assist staff in providing excellent levels of customer service to the citizens of Bedford.
Apply for multiple industry awards to showcase the commitment to excellence held by the Bedford Parks and Recreation
Department.

Communicate & Engage with Citizens
Effectively maintain a partnership with The Bedford Center YMCA to provide excellent programming and community
engagement for all citizens of Bedford.
Increase senior citizen program offerings to engage the higher percentage of seniors that reside in the City of Bedford.

Organizational Excellence
Provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers by responding to all service requests in a
timely, ef cient, and professional manner.
Participate in and support safety training where appropriate.

Communicate & Engage with Citizens
Ensure all facilities are neat, clean, and maintained to the highest standards possible.
Review departmental customer surveys and respond to the concerns of the community.
