             Since January 2017, the department has transitioned to
             reporting crime statistics through the National Incident-   5,000
             Based Reporting System (NIBRS). Unlike the legacy     4,000
             Summary Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) system, which    3,000
             relied on a hierarchy rule and aggregated data, NIBRS    2,000
             provides detailed insights into each incident—capturing    1,000
             information on the time, location, type of offense, and    -

             While historical benchmarking will continue to utilize
             Summary UCR (Part I) data, NIBRS offers a more
