Department Achievements:
ANCHOR FABRICATION is a steel fabrication company that provides metal parts to the fabrication industry. They are located at 1200
Lawson Rd. and have a footprint of about 135,000 square feet. They chose to purchase vacant untouched land in Saginaw and plan to
expand their footprint by an additional 140,000 square feet.
THE ARTISTIC BEAUTIFICATION OF SAGINAW, TEXAS (Mural at 1029 N. Saginaw Blvd): The Economic Development Department and
the Keep Saginaw Beautiful Committee have been working on a joint project. The Economic Development Staff has been discussing this
property with the owner for over two years. North Town Center, on the north end of Bus 287 at 1029 N. Saginaw Blvd., currently houses
Bag O’Crab, Eagle Point Restaurant, Atheneum Cider, Any Time Fitness, and many others. The City Council approved the funding (in
February 2024) for a professionally drawn mural to be painted on the open space of the east wall of the North Town Center (Anytime
Fitness exterior wall).
MILLER MILLING EXPANSION: Staff worked with executives from Miller Milling on expansion for about 18 or so months. We made it
down to be a finalist along with a city in Alabama. Miller Milling will be expanding in Saginaw, Texas. Miller Milling chose to expand their
operation twice. First, they are expanding a substantial footprint with a new, state-of-the-art Innovation and Technical Center.
Groundbreaking of this facility was December 18, 2023, with construction currently moving quickly. The second expansion (late 2024-
2025) will increase the plant’s daily capacity. When the upcoming expansion is complete, the Saginaw mill will be the largest flour mill in
capacity in Texas and the third largest flour mill in capacity in the United States. This will have a significant impact on our community and
economy!
SYNERGY SAGINAW: Established a Business Networking Group in conjunction with the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce.
“Synergy Saginaw” meets every first and thrid Friday at Blue Mound Café in Saginaw at SOBA Church at 11:30 AM.
