Department Description
The Economic Development Department is responsible for promoting economic growth through business retention and
attraction, maintaining a positive relationship with developers, brokers, and other business professionals in order to
encourage business expansion. The Department is also responsible for liaise with new businesses and city departments
to assist with required permitting, utility service arrangements, building and fire codes, zoning and occupancy
approvals.
