PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The City of Azle Street Department is responsible for the maintenance of street repairs, maintenance and
installation of traffic signs and barricades, repair and replacement of curbs and gutters, installation and repairs of
storm sewers and drains.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
To reduce the time with complaints and work orders.
Reclaim/overlay collector or arterial streets.
Improve the city's drainage channels.

KEY POINTS OF PROPOSED BUDGET:
Personnel: Increase due to impact of FY 24 step increases, pay plan market adjustment, and increased
benefits costs.
Services: Increase requested to upgrade light fixtures on the Denver Trail bridge and street sweeping.
Capital: Increase requested for the purchase of a new backhoe and digital sign to be split with the Stormwater
Fund.
