FY 2022-2023 Highlights

            Finance
                 Achieved a bond rating upgrade to AA+ on outstanding general obligation debt from Standard and Poors.
                 Achieved the Certi cate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award annually from the Government Finance Of cers
                 Association of the U.S. and Canada for 2021-2022
                 Achieved the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Of cers Association of the U.S.
                 and Canada for 2022-2023
                 Completed a banking and treasury services RFQ and began the transition to a new depository
                 Updated investment practices and procedures to better protect the long term cash assets of the City
                 Completed two sales of new certi cates of obligation to fund projects city-wide
                 Completed city-wide training for purchasing and purchasing card best practices

                 Participated in the 2022 Municipal Courts Week whereby our efforts for advocating traf c safety and awareness were
                 recognized by the Texas Municipal Court Education Center in Austin, TX.
                 Participated in the 2023 State of Texas "Great Texas Warrant Round Up" clearing 600 warrants, while generating
                 $82,277.23 in revenue.
                 Collaborated with Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, & Sampson LLP for area speci c increased collection efforts regarding
                 defendants with outstanding warrants.
                 Updated the Bedford Municipal Court Emergency Operating Procedures and Security Policy.
                 Created an online court case records and judicial records request form, whereby defendants, attorneys, law enforcement
                 agencies, and citizens are able to make their request for court records online.
                 Updated the violator’s copy of the citation to better inform defendants of their options.

                 Attended the Texas Municipal Court Education Center’s 2023 88  Legislative Update for Municipal Court.
            Teen Cour t
                 In May 2023, HEB Teen Court awarded 4 teen volunteers with scholarships totaling $4,000.  The teen recipients provided
                 over 220 community service hours to HEB Teen Court.
                 Conducted several teen attorney trainings totaling 92 hours.  These trainings help to prepare the teen volunteers for jury
                 trials on future Teen Court nights.
            Customer Ser vice
                 Performed a comprehensive overview of practices and procedures in the division
                 Examined and recommended process improvement to better serve the citizens of Bedford
